Client acceptanceOur survey found that most brokers have a formal acceptance process for new clients. 70% have an acceptance committee – commonly comprised of representatives from sales, account management, legal, operations and risk – that determines whether or not to take on a new client. The other 30% of brokers have an informal process involving a small group of individuals from senior management. A pre-qualification and verbal agreement is followed by due diligence and approval by the acceptance committee or the senior management group.
